A torch-on felt system uses three layers of modified bitumen felt, each melt-welded to the one below with a blowtorch. That creates a fully bonded, waterproof membrane with no cold joins and no weak points: a vapour control layer, a reinforced underlay, and a UV-stable mineral cap sheet.
Installed correctly, a three-layer torch-on felt roof is tough, long-lasting and cost-effective. We control torch temperatures throughout, check every lap on completion and run a full water test before leaving site.
