GRP is laid in dry weather. Book your survey now to secure a dry-spell slotRecognise any of these?
A new GRP fibreglass roof can fix them
Most flat roofs leak at a joint, a lap or an awkward upstand, the weak points every jointed system has. A GRP laminate removes them entirely: one continuous fibreglass skin, moulded around every detail and cured hard. If more than one of these applies, a free survey will tell you for certain.
A persistent leak
Water is tracking into rooms or staining a garage ceiling after it rains.
A seamless fibreglass laminate with no joints or laps for water to find.
Blistering or cracking
Your existing felt is lifting, bubbling or splitting across the surface.
GRP cures into one rigid, hard-wearing skin that won’t blister or de-bond.
Pooling water
Water sits on the roof for days after rain instead of draining away.
We build correct falls into the deck before laminating, so it sheds cleanly.
Tricky shapes & detail
Dormers, balconies and upstands where ordinary coverings fail at the edges.
GRP is moulded around every detail in one piece for a crisp, watertight finish.
Failed repairs
Temporary fixes keep coming back and the same areas leak again and again.
Replacing the whole covering in one seamless skin ends the patch-repair cycle for good.
A walk-on roof or terrace
You need a roof that takes foot traffic for a balcony, terrace or roof-light access.
GRP is walk-on tough with a slip-resistant finish option, ideal for usable areas.

Stop leaking at the joints
A jointed roof has a weak point. A GRP roof doesn’t

Choosing the right system
Why GRP, and when EPDM or felt suits better
There’s no single “best” system for every flat roof. GRP fibreglass is our go-to for extensions, balconies and detailed roofs that need a crisp, walk-on, seamless finish. For very large open spans or the most exposed coastal roofs, EPDM may last longer; where the deck is sound and budget matters, felt is proven. We fit all three and recommend whichever fits the job, never whichever earns us the most.
GRP fibreglass
25–30 yrs typical lifespanBest for extensions, balconies & complex shapes
A seamless, hard-wearing fibreglass laminate. Brilliant on intricate roofs, balconies and anywhere a crisp, walk-on finish matters.
EPDM rubber
30–50 yrs typical lifespanBest for large flat roofs & coastal exposure
A single rubber membrane laid in one piece. The long-life choice for big spans and exposed, weather-beaten Sussex properties.
Torch-on felt
15–25 yrs typical lifespanBest value where the deck is sound
Modern multi-layer built-up felt. The most cost-effective route when the existing deck is in good order and you want a proven, reliable system.
A GRP roof is only as good as the deck beneath it. On survey we check the substrate, measure the falls and flag any decking or detailing that needs correcting first. Your written quote covers the full system: new OSB3 deck where needed, the fibreglass laminate, colour topcoat, trims and a water test on completion.
